
Prof Ifeyinwa Monica Uzoh is a Senior academic, Lecturer and researcher in the Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Nigeria. She started her career in the same department in 2002 as graduate Assistant and rose through the ladder to the rank of Professor. She has contributed significantly to the growth of the department, having mentored many younger colleagues and students. Scholarly, she has published over 35 articles and has also attended conferences and workshops locally and internationally.
As regards her expertise Prof Ifeyinwa Monica Uzoh specializes in Soil resource management and sustainability including Soil Fertility, Organic Soil amendment, Soil Microbial Ecology, Climate resilient and adaptive cropping systems. She is a doctor of Soil Fertility and Microbial Ecology from the University of Nigeria, with full fellowship from International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, where she identified non nitrogen benefits of edible legume-cereal rotation in relation to non edible legume-cereal rotation. She also did Postdoctoral research in Food Security and Safety Niche area in North-West University, Mafikeng, South Africa, where she looked at effect of pine wood biochar and legume cereal cropping systems on maize yield, mycorrhiza population and soil properties. Prof Ifeyinwa had TWAS-DFG Cooperation Visit Postdoctoral research in Biogeochemistry, University of Goethingen, Germany. She evaluated carbon IV oxide evolution and priming effect of different land use of three agricultural zones.

Dr. C. C. Apeh is a Lecturer of Agricultural Economics at the University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (UAES), Umuagwo, Imo State, with expertise in climate-smart agriculture, food security, and resource economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Resource and Environmental Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (2024), where his research examined the adoption and gendered impacts of climate-smart agricultural practices. His international development experience includes serving as Head of Office and Programme Policy Officer for the UN World Food Programme in Liberia (2019–2020) and as a Food Security, Nutrition, and Surveillance Expert with the ECOWAS Volunteer Programme. In these roles, he led large-scale food security interventions, integrated policies, and coordinated community-based nutrition initiatives.
At UAES, Dr. Apeh combines academic excellence with practical impact, coordinating multiple courses and leading projects such as monitoring and evaluation for an EU-funded initiative on digital financial solutions for climate-resilient agriculture. He also contributes to the AGRECOFARM Erasmus+ project, advancing agroecological farming education across West Africa. A prolific researcher, he has published widely on soil nutrient management, food value chains, livestock markets, cookstove adoption, and gender in climate-smart agriculture. Beyond teaching and research, he plays active leadership roles in professional bodies, including serving as Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists (NAAE) and Membership Coordinator for the Association of Cyber Security Practitioners (ACSP). Professor Emmanuel O. Nwosu is a Professor of Economics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, with a specialization in environmental economics, impact evaluation, poverty, and income distribution. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics, a Master’s degree in Economic Policy Management from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, and was a visiting scholar at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). With over 14 years of research and development experience, he is a recognized expert in areas such as public financial management and policy analysis. His academic career also includes serving as the Head of the Department of Economics from 2020 to 2022.
His work history is directly tied to his research and academic background. He has conducted several funded research projects and published numerous articles in well-indexed journals, and has successfully mentored and graduated three Ph.D. students and over 15 Master’s students. His project work includes estimating the willingness to pay for improved solid waste management in Nigeria and investigating the gender wage gap in the Nigerian labor market. He has also been a Technical Assistant in the Office of the Honourable Minister of Finance.

Dr. Emmanuel Omeje is a highly skilled Agricultural Economist and Lecturer with over 8 years of experience in academia, research, consultancy, and development projects. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Agricultural Finance and Project Analysis, complemented by a B. Agric-3 (in Agricultural Economics, Extension, and Management). He currently serves as a Senior Lecturer and Data Analyst at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he leads the Data Processing Unit and contributes to curriculum development and student mentorship.
He has proven expertise in designing and facilitating large-scale agricultural projects, including baseline surveys for the World Bank-funded APPEALS Project for six states in Nigeria, Project Completion Report (PCR) for Enugu State – APPEALS, and Consultancy Contract for the African Technology Policy Studies Network (ATPS) for module development for farmers. Adept at quantitative data analysis, project monitoring, and translating research into actionable insights for policy and livelihood improvement, he active in university governance, contributing to over 10 departmental and faculty committees. He is committed to advancing sustainable agriculture through evidence-based teaching, research, and community engagement.

Gloria Ifeoma Davidson is a professor of Food and Nutrition with a B. Sc. in Home Science, M. Sc. and Ph. D in Human Nutrition all from University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria. She works as a lecturer and researcher with about twenty years of experience in the same university. Her research interest is in recipe standardization and food data generation. She served as member of Quality Assurance Team for several years in her university. She was also the Head of Department of Home Science and Management, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Nigeria Nsukka for three consecutive years. She is a member of many professional bodies including but not limited to Nutrition Society of Nigeria and Home Economics Research Association of Nigeria. She is also a member of University of Nigeria Journal of Home Economics and Hospitality Management editorial team. She has attended numerous academic conferences both national and international. Prof. G. I. Davidson has over thirty publications with reasonable number published in high Thomson Reuter’s impact factor journals such as Journal of Food Chemistry, Journal of Food Quality and Journal of Food composition and Analysis. She was a beneficiary of a research grant provided by Council for The Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), Dakar, Senegal.

Uchua Terkula Donald is a specialist in Environmental Management and Sustainability with a strong focus on the Water–Energy–Food (WEF) Nexus. He is certified in WEF Nexus modeling and in the use of WEAP and LEAP applications through professional training with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI). An alumnus of the 2025 Collaborative Learning School (CLS) Program (US–Africa), jointly hosted by SustainFood, IITA, SEI, Michigan State University, and Penn State University, he has conducted extensive research at the University for Development Studies (UDS), Ghana, addressing climate change, water scarcity, and rice production in the Bontanga and Golinga irrigation schemes in Northern Ghana. He also lectures at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he integrates teaching, research, and policy engagement.
His expertise is further enriched by specialized training in econometrics for policy analysis (Feed the Future–USAID), climate resilience and field techniques (CWSA/UDS, Ghana), and sustainable environmental standards (IPESS–World Bank, FUAM), among others. With this comprehensive background, Uchua provides practical insights and solutions in agriculture, environmental management, and project implementation, positioning him as a dedicated and resourceful member of the Green Earth Agrobiz and Consult team.

Chukwuma Ume is a lecturer at the department of Agricultural Economics, University of Nigeria. He is currently doing his PhD at the Center for International Development and Environmental Research, Justus Liebig University, Germany. He holds a master’s degree in Environment and Development from the sustainability research institute, University of Leeds, and bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics (First Class and overall best graduating student of the University, 2013/2014 session). He was awarded the Right Livelihood Junior Research Scientist Award in Environmental and resource management by the Centre for Environment and Development Research/ Zentrum für Entwicklungsforschung (ZEF) UN-Campus University of Bonn. His current research focuses on Agroecology and modeling of Socio-Ecological Systems.

Valentine Chukwu is a researcher and development professional with proven expertise in climate resilience. As Executive Director of Green Earth Agrobiz and Consult, he provides strategic leadership to advance the organisation’s mission in climate change, environmental sustainability, and agricultural innovation. His work reflects a deep commitment to advancing climate adaptation and natural resource management.
Prior to this role, Valentine significantly contributed to the Foundation for Investigative Journalism and Social Justice’s (FIJ) as the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, where he transformed investigative reporting into fundable projects, coordinated program delivery, and managed donor reporting. His earlier career spans research, programme management, grant writing, and content development with organisations in Nigeria, Europe, and the UK, reflecting his versatile expertise in programme design and knowledge dissemination. He holds a master’s degree in Forest Resource Management from the University of Ibadan and a Graduate Fellowship in Development Research. He is a published researcher and panel contributor on climate and environmental justice.

Dr. Ozioko Remigius Ikechukwu is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Extension, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His current research areas are; sustainable agriculture, artificial intelligence and climate change-food-system-nexus, climate change governance, Climate smart agriculture and agro-ecology. He is equally engaged in community engagement, development studies, policy issues, agricultural innovation systems, and resource management. He is a youth empowerment advocate and has platforms for motivation and inspiration for the youths and volunteers for several platforms that work on solutions for environmental sustainability.

Dr Julius Emeka Omeje is a research officer with the National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research, New Bussa, Niger State Nigeria. He is an agricultural economist with vast experience in project development, analysis, evaluation, and appraisal. His expertise in this area has enabled him to recommend the implementation of several projects, including the Cajulinks Catfish breeding project in Nsukka, Enugu State, Ju agro feeds, as well as JP paints in Asaba, Delta State.
He is proficient in the use of computer packages such as Microsoft Excel, Stata, and SPSS, which has enabled him to execute various tasks in research and project analysis.
As a passionate scientist, Dr Julius Emeka Omeje is highly enthusiastic about building capacity for youths in agriculture through training and mentoring. He is willing to explore further in multidisciplinary project development and its various value chains.

Dr. Eberechukwu Ihemezie is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Environmental and Ecological Economics at Aberystwyth Business School, Aberystwyth University, Wales, UK. He is currently contributing to the NERC-funded project “Understanding Nature’s Multiple Values for Integration into Decisions.” He earned his PhD in Environmental Economics from the University of Leeds, where his research focused on understanding the diverse values people hold for forest conservation. Before joining Aberystwyth University, he lectured at the Department of Agricultural Economics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He also holds a master’s degree in Environment and Development (Distinction) from the University of Leeds and a first-class Bachelor of Agriculture in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Ebere’s research explores the interactions between people and nature through an interdisciplinary, mixed-methods approach that integrates insights from both the natural and social sciences. His specific areas of interest include biodiversity conservation, agroecology systems, nature valuation, human values, and natural resource management. His work has been published in leading academic journals and presented at national and international conferences. Over the years, he has received numerous academic awards, including the prestigious Commonwealth Doctoral and Master’s Scholarships, as well as Faculty and Departmental Best Graduating Student awards, alongside other institutional academic honours.

Chibundo Adaobi Nwobi is a Lecturer in the Department of Home Science and Management at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where she has been teaching since 2016. She holds a B.Sc. in Home Science (Food and Institutional Management and an M.Sc. in Home Management, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. Her research interests span family resource management, consumer education, food nutrition, and environmental sustainability, with several academic publications to her credit. Beyond academia, she is passionate about applying research to practical solutions in agriculture, environmental management, and community development.

Dr. Chinyere Blessing Obika is a distinguished soil scientist with a strong focus on soil fertility and biochemistry. She holds a Ph.D. in Soil Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, and is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Soil Science at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Her academic career has been marked by excellence, including graduating as the best student in her undergraduate and master’s degree programs at the University of Nigeria. She has received multiple prestigious international awards and fellowships, such as the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) and the Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship.
Dr. Obika’s research is dedicated to understanding how soil properties respond to fertilizer applications to improve productivity for crops like maize and cowpea. She founded and coordinates the Soil Fertility Research Group at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and has contributed extensively to international peer-reviewed journals and academic publications. Her professional development includes training in scientific writing, data management, and leadership. Through collaborations with renowned soil scientists across the globe, she has built a robust professional network and is an active member of several international professional bodies, including the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) and the African Network for Soil Biology and Fertility (AfNet).

Dr Amuji, Chinedu Felix is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Crop Science, University of Nigeria Nsukka and a Research Fellow at EfD Nigeria. He has two Master’s (2014 and 2015 from University of Nigeria Nsukka and University of Valladolid Spain, respectively) and a Ph.D. (2021) from the Macquarie University Sydney Australia.
Felix’s main specialisation areas are in crop production, cropping systems, conservation, agroforestry, plant ecology and crop adaptations and survival to the changing environments.

Professor Robert Ugochukwu Onyeneke holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics (with specialization in Resource and Environmental Economics). He is a Professor of Agricultural Resource and Environmental Economics in the Department of Agricultural Economics of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Nigeria.
Professor Onyeneke’s scholarly work primarily focuses on the intersection of climate change impacts, agricultural value chain development, and sustainable energy solutions, with a particular emphasis on the African context. To his credit are many research papers published in peer reviewed journals, peer-reviewed book chapters and conference proceedings. He has also received grants to support his research.
Professor Onyeneke has been involved in the development and review of some policies and plans in Nigeria. He has also served as an expert reviewer to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

Dr. Charles Onochie Osita is a lecturer in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he has been a faculty member since 2009. He specializes in Animal Nutrition and Biochemistry, having earned his PhD in this field from the same university in 2017. His research in these areas is widely published in academic journals and conference proceedings.
In addition to his academic and research work, Dr. Osita has a strong record of administrative and professional service within the university. He has served in numerous leadership roles as chairman or member of various departmental and faculty committees, demonstrating his commitment to institutional development. Furthermore, he has applied his expertise to consultancy projects for both government and non-governmental organizations, while also actively supervising and mentoring students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Mr. Enyi, Jacob Ikechukwu, is a dedicated Crop researcher and scientist specializing in Crop genetics and breeding. He holds a Bachelor of Agriculture (Agronomy) and a Master of Science in Crop genetics and breeding from the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, respectively. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His core interest lies in both conventional and molecular genetics and breeding, with a focus on developing high-yielding and early-maturing breeds of crops like okra and tomatoes. He is also proficient in using computer programming packages such as R and Python for data analysis and is exploring the integration of artificial intelligence into agricultural research.
His work history is directly tied to his research and academic background. He has successfully supervised over 15 undergraduate dissertations, with a focus on improving crop resistance to pests and diseases through selective breeding. These projects also centered on enhancing crop adaptation to environmental and seasonal variations.

Miriam Sewuese Apeverga is an Agricultural Economist and Project Management Specialist with a PhD in Agricultural Economics, focusing on finance and project analysis. She lectures and researches at Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, in agricultural finance, trade, development projects, food security, and rural welfare, while integrating gender perspectives. As a development consultant, she supports research design, capacity building, project planning, implementation, and evaluation. She integrates academic rigor with field-based development practice, making her contributions impactful in research, capacity building, and policy-driven development initiatives.

Louis Ogwu Onyishi is a seasoned professional specializing in agricultural finance and development. He holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics, with a focus on agricultural finance and project analysis.
With over 25 years of experience, Onyishi has dedicated his career to advancing agricultural finance and development, working extensively with development finance institutions and World Bank-assisted projects. His expertise is underscored by the creation of two innovative hypotheses that assist in project identification reporting visits. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D., furthering his contributions to the field.

Ihuoma Angela Onwubiko is an accomplished expert in Agricultural Economics with deep specialization in agribusiness and marketing strategy. As Director at Victory Outsourcing Ltd, she brings extensive experience across banking, logistics, entrepreneurship, and human capacity building, which she applies to design and implement innovative, sustainable solutions that drive growth in the agricultural sector. Her strengths lie in strategic planning, effective communication, and the ability to manage complex projects with an entrepreneurial spirit.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics and is currently pursuing a PhD in Agribusiness and Marketing. Her areas of expertise include agribusiness development and management, agricultural economics and policy analysis, marketing strategy, and training for capacity development. Passionate about advancing sustainable agribusiness practices, she continues to leverage her knowledge and leadership to create impact, strengthen agricultural systems, and position businesses and communities for long-term success.

Ukwuaba, S. I. is an agricultural economist with expertise in resource and environmental economics. He holds a B.Agric in Agricultural Economics from Delta State University and an MSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he is also concluding his PhD. His academic and professional journey reflects a strong commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture and addressing pressing challenges in food systems and food security.
As a lecturer, researcher, and practicing farmer, Ukwuaba combines academic rigor with practical experience. His research covers sustainable agricultural practices, climate change adaptation, gender issues in agriculture, and the economic impacts of environmental policies on farming. A member of the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists (NAAE) and the Agricultural Society of Nigeria (ASN), he is deeply passionate about promoting resilient food systems and sustainable resource management. He is happily married with children.

Anoshirike is a Nutritionist-Dietitian with expertise in Community and Public Health Nutrition, particularly in maternal and child nutrition, sustainable food and nutrition systems, and policy and programme design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Imo State University, an MPH in Public Health from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, and is concluding his PhD in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. As a lecturer, researcher, and consultant, his work spans sustainable food systems, food and nutrition security, therapeutic food formulation for malnutrition and diet-related diseases, as well as national food and nutrition policy development and implementation.
He has contributed significantly as a consultant to high-level national initiatives, including the Nigerian National Food and Nutrition Policy Review (2025), the National Nutrition in Emergency Strategy (2024/2025), and the National Training Manual for Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (2024/25). He has also served as a maternal, newborn, and child health nutrition monitor, a national food and nutrition committee representative, and an advocate for breastfeeding and malnutrition awareness. With 19 peer-reviewed publications and over 36 conference presentations, he is recognized as both a scholar and practitioner. Anoshirike is an active member of professional bodies such as the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), Dietitians Association of Nigeria (DAN), and American Society of Nutrition (ASN), and currently holds leadership roles in NSN and DAN at the state level. He is happily married with children.

Benedict Onyebuchi Unagwu is a soil scientist specializing in soil health, fertility management, and environmental conservation, with a strong passion for restoring degraded soils to support sustainable food production. He holds a B.Agric and MSc in Soil Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a PhD in Soil Health from Cranfield University, UK. His academic journey and research reflect a deep commitment to advancing soil management practices that address pressing agricultural and environmental challenges.
As a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Soil Science, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Unagwu’s work focuses on improving soil systems for sustainable food production and developing practical strategies to mitigate soil degradation and its effects on smallholder farmers and ecosystems. He is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Soil Science Society of Nigeria (SSSN), the British Society of Soil Science (BSSS), the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS), and the Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON). He is married with children.

Ezenwosu Celestine is an Animal scientist and a Researcher with a Ph.D in Animal Science, specializing in Animal Nutrition and Biochemistry. He lectures and researches in the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Nigeria Nsukka. As a fine academic and scholar, he has carried out several researches that focused on better economic and scientific ways of rearing poultry with reduced emission of odor (ammonia gas) which still remain a veritable threat to farm animal production and climate. He has published several of his research works in various respected academic journals around the world.

Dr. Chiebonam Justina Ayogu is an academic, researcher, and development practitioner specializing in forest resource governance, food and agriculture sociology, climate resilience, and rural development. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, where she gained advanced expertise in interdisciplinary research methodologies, participatory rural analysis, and community-based adaptation strategies. As a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, she has published over 18 scholarly works, mentored students, and contributed significantly to agricultural extension, gender and development, forest governance, and climate change adaptation.
With a strong international footprint—presenting at conferences in New Zealand, Germany, Ghana, and India—Dr. Ayogu actively collaborates with global scholars to advance evidence-based solutions for food security, women’s empowerment, and sustainable rural livelihoods. Her work integrates social sciences, agriculture, and climate studies to design practical, climate-smart interventions that strengthen resource management and rural development. Beyond academia, she engages in policy-driven research and consultancy, offering expertise in smart agriculture, climate change, and food systems, with advanced proficiency in tools such as SPSS, Excel, and NVivo. Her blend of scholarship, mentorship, and community engagement ensures that research translates into real-world solutions for agribusiness, development agencies, and rural communities.

Dr. Onodugo, Nkechinyerem Gift is a Lecturer 1 in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, University of Nigeria Nsukka. She is a Nigerian registered nutritionist/Dietitian with academic qualifications including a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics, Masters (2014) in Clinical Nutrition and Ph.D (2021) in Human Nutrition.
She is currently teaching and leading courses in MSc Human Nutrition and MSc clinical Nutrition. Her research focuses on Type 2 diabetes, particularly investigating dietary interventions for diabetes reduction and fluid and hydration status of various age groups for the prevention of dehydration. Dr. Nkechinyerem also contributes to public health through membership in professional associations related to nutrition.

Dr. Nnawugwu Nwawuike is a distinguished environmental scientist with a Doctor of Science in Geoenvironmental Science from Shimane University, Japan. As a lecturer in Environmental Management and Toxicology, he combines academic excellence with practical application, mentoring future professionals while advancing knowledge in environmental sustainability, pollution control, and ecological health. His extensive research portfolio includes numerous peer-reviewed publications addressing critical challenges in environmental management and toxicology, reflecting his dedication to developing innovative solutions that mitigate human impact on natural ecosystems.
Beyond academia, Dr. Nwawuike serves as a consultant to government agencies, private organizations, and community stakeholders, offering expertise in environmental impact assessments, toxicological evaluations, and sustainable management frameworks. Recognized for his analytical rigor and problem-solving skills, he continues to bridge the gap between research and practice, ensuring science informs policy and real-world solutions. With expertise spanning geoenvironmental science, pollution monitoring, and sustainable resource management, his work contributes to building long-term environmental resilience and advancing sustainable development.

Johnpaul T. Offorma is a professional specializing in rural development and the application of technology and innovation in agricultural production. He holds a Master of Science in Farm Management and Production Economics and a Bachelor of Agriculture in Agricultural Economics and Extension from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. His expertise is further bolstered by online courses from the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) on farm data management and from the Information Training and Outreach Centre for Africa (ITOCA) on online research access.
His professional experience is a blend of academic and practical work. As a Higher Technical Officer at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, he has been involved in departmental administration since 2018, serving as the departmental ICT Representative and Chairman of the ICT/Data Management committee. His fieldwork includes his role as a Field Enumerator for the World Bank and the Commercial Agricultural Development Project (CADP), where he conducted socio-economic impact surveys and profitability analyses for various agricultural value chains. Additionally, he has served as a Mobilization Officer for the African Centre for Rural Development & Environment (ACERDEN) and an Outreach Coordinator for the Agric Information Centre & Community Radio Project (AGRICCORP).
